But then I repeat myself.

"When I used to read about the 1930s — the Italian invasion of Abyssinia, the rise of fascism in Italy, Spain, and Germany, the appeasement in France and Britain, the murderous duplicity of the Soviet Union, and the racist Japanese murdering in China — I never could quite figure out why, during those bleak years, Western Europeans and those in the United States did not speak out and condemn the growing madness, if only to defend the millennia-long promise of Western liberalism.
Of course, the trauma of the Great War was all too fresh, and the utopian hopes for the League of Nations were not yet dashed. The Great Depression made the thought of rearmament seem absurd. The connivances of Stalin with Hitler — both satanic, yet sometimes in alliance, sometimes not — could confuse political judgments.
But nevertheless it is still surreal to reread the fantasies of Chamberlain, Daladier, and Pope Pius, or the stump speeches by Charles Lindbergh (“Their [the Jews’] greatest danger to this country lies in their large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio, and our government”) or Father Coughlin (“Many people are beginning to wonder whom they should fear most — the Roosevelt-Churchill combination or the Hitler-Mussolini combination.”) — and baffling to consider that such men ever had any influence."

""This war must stop, or it will radicalize the Muslim world, even those of us who are moderate today," said Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who leads the world's most populous Muslim country. "From there, it will be just one step away to that ultimate nightmare: a clash of civilizations.""

Iranian President: Solution to Middle East crisis is to destroy Israel
As the continuing condemnation of Israel goes on I hear no one condemning the Islamo-fascists for their continuing plans to destroy Israel!
How can we negotiate peace when their stated objective is the destruction of a nation?
Its a simple question.
Do you believe that Israel has a right to exist?
The answer to this question puts you squarely on one side or the other.
If you answer yes then how can you also say that Israel should stop defending themselves?
People I would like to answer this question;
Kofi Anan
John Kerry
Hillary Clinton
Which side are you on?

"PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday the solution to the Middle East crisis was to destroy Israel, Iranian state media reported.
In a speech during an emergency meeting of Muslim leaders in Malaysia, Ahmadinejad also called for an immediate cease-fire to end the fighting between Israel and the Iranian-back group Hezbollah.
"Although the main solution is for the elimination of the Zionist regime, at this stage an immediate cease-fire must be implemented,"
Ahmadinejad said, according to state-run television in a report posted on its Web site. "

"The drama unfolded over the weekend with mob scenes across the Muslim world, ostensibly— ostensibly— in response to civilian deaths in Qana, Lebanon. Angry Muslims from Beirut to Gaza to Lahore set fire to American and Israeli flags. They burned effigies of Western leaders. They raised their voices in chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel."
The nervous nellies sitting in the world's balcony seats exclaimed that the tragedy in Qana will make the Muslims hate us more. But if the uproar over the accident in Qana-an Israeli exception to the Hezbollah rule— sounds like a tired old re-run to you, well, it is.

Iran cleric calls on Muslims to arm Hizbollah
"TEHRAN (Reuters) - Muslim nations should arm Hizbollah in its fight against Israel, Iran's influential hardline clerical politician Ahmad Jannati said on Tuesday.
Iran has repeatedly said it only provides moral support to Lebanese Hizbollah guerrillas and there was no immediate sign that Iran's official policy has changed.
Israel accuses Iran of providing Hizbollah with missiles used against civilian and military targets.
"We are expecting Muslim nations to provide various kinds of support, including arms, medicine and food to Hizbollah," he told the students news agency ISNA.
Jannati heads the Guardian Council, Iran's constitutional watchdog composed of six clerics and six hardline lawyers."
Statement from Iran
" TEHRAN, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday rejected a U.N. Security Council resolution that would give his nation until Aug. 31 to suspend uranium enrichment. Instead, Ahmadinejad insisted Tehran would pursue its nuclear program.
“My words are the words of the Iranian nation. Throughout Iran, there is one slogan: ‘The Iranian nation considers the peaceful use of nuclear fuel production technology its right,’” Ahmadinejad said.
The Security Council passed a resolution Monday calling for Iran to suspend uranium enrichment by the end of August or face the threat of economic and diplomatic sanctions.
Ahmadinejad said Iran will not give in to threats from the United Nations.
“If some think they can still speak with threatening language to the Iranian nation, they must know that they are badly mistaken,” he said in a speech broadcast live on state-run television."
Raise readiness, Assad tells Syrian Army
"DAMASCUS (Reuters) - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told the Syrian military on Monday to raise its readiness, pledging not to abandon support for Lebanese resistance against Israel.
"We are facing international circumstances and regional challenges that require caution, alert, readiness and preparedness," Assad said.
"The barbaric war of annihilation the Israeli aggression is waging on our people in Lebanon and Palestine is increasing in ferocity," Assad said in a written address on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the foundation of the Syria Arab Army.
Diplomats in Damascus say the Syrian army has been on alert since the Israeli onslaught on Lebanon began on July 12 after Hizbollah fighters captured two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border operation."
Who's fault is it?
The media and the world is coming down on Israel for the deaths of all those women and children. Why? they warned the people to leave two weeks ago! Hezbollah told them to stay, then set up guns right next to them and began firing at Israel. The IDF tracked
the fire to this area and took it out. I can see no way that this is Israels responsibility. The fact is they are at war, people die, but to make Hezbollah and the IDF out to be morally relative is absurd. Hezbollah fire on civilians in Israel and forces their civillians to be fired upon.
